ABOUT
Aboriginal Family Support
Family Support is a culturally safe and responsive program designed to walk alongside Aboriginal children and families, recognising that strong families and strong culture create strong communities.
Family Support is built into our Kids Caring for Country whole family after school program held every Wednesday on Country across different locations throughout Murwillumbah and the Tweed Coast. By integrating support within a family and cultural setting, families can access support in an environment that feels welcoming, safe and connected rather than through formal service systems alone.
Support is provided by Aunty Robyn Beezley, a qualified counsellor, specialist domestic violence worker and family support practitioner with extensive experience working alongside Aboriginal children and families.
Families may access support around housing, domestic and family violence, emotional wellbeing, cultural wellbeing, physical wellbeing, education, parenting support, navigating services, advocacy and reducing barriers that may impact family wellbeing.
